HISTORICAL EVENT FOR CLETA

For the first time in its history, the City of Leicester European Twinning Association has awarded Honorary Membership to a previous citizen of Leicester, Mr Nick Freer, a Managing Director of a London based firm, CENATA.  This is in recognition of his valued support and funding for our Association.  His desire to continue providing opportunities for the Citizens of Leicester to enjoy the benefits of twinning with its three twinned cities of Krefeld, Strasbourg and Haskovo is very much appreciated.

Nick was presented with his award by the Lord Mayor, Councillor Teresa Aldred who is the President of CLETA during her term of office.  Also present are Executive Committee Members of CLETA

Nick was born in Leicester but, at the age of eight years, moved with his family away from the City.  He has always loved the time he spent in Leicester as a child and in recent years he has helped build the CENATA business into one of the main stalwarts providing expertise to worldwide companies to help with their insurance systems performance.

As a result of its success, Nick wishes to help fund local communities in matters of education, sport, cultural, music and other worthwhile twinning ventures.  Nick has intimated that he wishes to continue in his support of all of our CLETA member organisations and will continue to assist in helping to fund the Association in helping Leicester citizens enjoy their twinning!
