Judgemeadow Community College Students Visit Leicester Lord Mayor for Afternoon Tea

Alex Grainge, Headteacher of Judgemeadow Community College, recently led a visit to Leicester’s Lord Mayor Councillor Bhupen Dave, accompanied by six students and two other members of staff.  The group was warmly welcomed into the Lord Mayor’s private offices, where they enjoyed tea and engaging discussions with the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity for students to learn about Leicester’s rich diversity and heritage.  Discussions focused on how Judgemeadow’s curriculum and activities reflect the core values of celebrating the best of the community while appreciating Leicester’s deep historical roots.  Students explored the importance of modern British values and how these are embedded within their education, fostering a strong sense of inclusion and pride.
